I did it…I did it! What did I do you ask? I walked all my dogs this morning!! I know that sounds surprising since I own a business who’s main goal is to take care of other peoples pets and make sure their dogs get enough exercise. But, like a lot of other dog owners (oh I hate that word “own” when referring to pets) I have an invisible fence and my dogs, Molly, Baxter and Ralphy can go out whenever they want. In fact I have almost 2 acres of property and that should be plenty of room for them to run around right??? Actually when they go out all they really do is their business and stare at the neighbors, cars, squirrels and anything else that happens to walk by. So I should be walking the three of them everyday. Okay I’ll admit the only one I really walk at all is Molly since she’s bigger than the poodles and I feel she needs it more. Actually she’s the only one that knows how to walk on leash well at all. I know, I know I should have the best behaved dogs on the block since I’m the “expert.”

Well I’ve decided to make a change. In fact I’m making a resolution! Yes, I can make a resolution after New Years. I am going to walk all three of my dogs everyday. Not only is it good exercise for them it helps them to be happier and calmer during the day and who doesn’t want a calmer healthier dog…it benefits me too! I get in my exercise, physical and mental and get better behaved dogs in the process!

Would anyone else like to join me and make a resolution or at least give it a try to walk their dogs more? C’mon I know I can’t be the only one who wants healthier, calmer, more balanced dogs and a better body to boot! I could use some inspiration!
